Intensive week
The Masters programme will begin with a week-long summer school at one of the five partner institutions: the intensive week. Provided all accreditation procedures have been finalized successfully, the first summerschool for all new students in August/September 2010 will take place in Iceland.
The summer school serves as a starting point for new students. The students will meet each other and work with some of the programme tutors and mentors. The aim of this week is to familiarise students in-depth with the contents of the master and with each other and the teachers. An important goal is sharing of ideas and establishment of contact.
A range of workshop and seminar activities will take place, enabling students to explore key strands of the programme and to establish effective channels of communication with their home institutions. Some sessions will focus on the role of mentoring and reflective practice in the programme.
